We, the Office of the Assessor of Property, hold such belief, welcome the Assessor of Property’s Office Performance Audit of July 20, 2026, and embrace the opportunities suggested in this report. The audit identified recommendations to strengthen processes and enhance operational practices, not findings of improper valuations or failure to comply with appraisal standards, laws and regulations. We will use the audit recommendations as our roadmap to make an already strong office even stronger, while continuing to provide fair, equitable and accurate property assessments to the people of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County, Tennessee.
