STATEMENT FROM ASSESSOR OF PROPERTY VIVIAN WILHOITE ON THE PASSING OF PHIL PONDER

Phil Ponder was simply a kind and gracious man, a Nashville historian whose gift was fulfilled through his artistry of Nashville’s landmarks and history.

Phil didn’t simply draw buildings; he captured the character, memories, and history of Nashville. I am honored to possess a few of his beautiful prints, and they mean even more to me today.
He leaves a beautiful legacy of artistry that will continue telling Nashville’s story for generations. Rest well, Phil, my friend. Your gift remains with me. Your gift remains with all of us.
