I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to remind you that the complimentary Informal Review Request period closed on April 17, 2026, for the 2026 Assessment year. If you filed an Informal Review, decisions will be mailed and made available online at padctn.org on May 20, 2026.
If you disagree with the decision—or if you missed the Informal Review period, you may still appeal your property value and/or classification for the 2026 Assessment year with the independent Metropolitan Board of Equalization (MBOE).
You can schedule a Formal Appeal Hearing to the independent MBOE beginning on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.,with scheduling ending on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Remember:
- Appeals are heard and decided by the independent MBOE, which is a board whose members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Metropolitan City Council. Appeal decisions will affect the 2026 Assessment year.
- The increased tax rates were set by the Mayor and Metropolitan Council and cannot be appealed through this process.
